AV Workshop has been New York City's premier Audio-Visual service provider for nearly three decades. We are a detail-oriented, customer-focused operation providing turnkey Audio-Visual solutions to NYC's most prestigious hotels and social venues.

We review all resumes, but candidates with experience in the following are preferred:

• Hotel/Corporate/Venue “in-house” AV
• Hotel/Corporate/Venue “freelance” AV
• Convention centers, trade shows, sporting arenas, exclusive event venues

Operational/Technical skillset expectations:

• 1-2 years’ AV management experience within a hospitality-related environment, such as hotels, convention/conference centers, event venues, and meeting facilities
• Aide the Director of Event Technology in overseeing venue AV operations and technicians
• Foster positive working relationships with venue management, support staff, clients, event planners, and AVW management
• Oversee AV equipment inventory, including communication with warehouse and logistics for equipment movement

Technical knowledge includes:

• Advanced understanding of AUDIO, capable of basic operation on digital mixing consoles if necessary
• Advanced understanding of VIDEO, capable of basic switching, projection, and GFX operation if necessary
• Advanced understanding of LIGHTING, capable of basic dimming, spot lighting, or stage washing if necessary; experience with up-lighting to enhance room mood or texture

• Ability to work diligently, calmly, and professionally under tight deadlines
• Maintain professionalism and respect when addressing clients and venue employees
• VIP customer service experience
• Attention to detail, recognizing that small issues can have large impacts
• Team player mindset from start to finish
• Experience with hotel, corporate, and social venue operations
