The Community Manager oversees all day-to-day property management operations, ensuring maintenance excellence, enhancing property value, and achieving community objectives set by the Regional Director. Responsibilities include managing on-site teams, financials, resources, and activities, optimizing rent levels, occupancy, and asset preservation. The Community Manager also trains the Assistant Community Manager for managerial duties in their absence.
What You’ll Do…
- Create a productive, motivated, informed, and engaged team to achieve operational goals.
- Manage and resolve resident issues or disturbances, including safety concerns or emergencies. Guide residents to the Director of Resident Experience for further action when needed.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director to develop and manage annual budgets.
- Use Apartment Snapshot to evaluate and improve KPI categories, implementing changes as necessary.
- Monitor property standards, including office, amenities, parking, and show units, ensuring quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards are met.
Requirements
What You Need to Succeed…
- High School diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience or Assistant Community Manager experience required.
- 3+ years of property management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of resident and eviction laws, and experience with property management software (preferably YARDI).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to delegate and problem-solve.
- CAM certification preferred.
- Pass criminal background screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- If minimum qualifications are met, the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required, sent via email.
