Description
The New England School of Communications at Husson University is looking for a part-time instructor to teach the following Graphic/Visual Design course on the Bangor campus for the Fall 2025 semester (8/25/2025-12/12/2025): Animation & Motion Design (GV 377) 3 credits - This course introduces students to industry standard software in the creation of animation and motion graphics in 2D and 3D for a variety of media applications. Students will be exposed to developing multimedia content for the web, mobile applications, games, and video. Topics covered will include compositing, keyframes, timelines, looping, motion tweening, basic scripting, and visual effects. Class time is set for: Tuesday & Thursday 3:30pm-4:45pm twice per week but can be reworked to fit Instructor's schedule
Examples of Duties
This Instructor will work with the NESCom Academic Director and senior G/V Design Faculty for each course they're teaching within New England School of Communications. They will be supplied with a standardized curriculum that can, however, be adjusted to meet the needs of the instructor's teaching style. Instructors will also be provided with the necessary training and supportive supervision to help them succeed and become part of a vigorous learning environment.
Typical Qualifications
A master's degree in Animation and/or Motion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Design, or a related field, is required. Candidates with 7 or more years of industry & leadership experience in Animation and Motion Design, Graphic and Visual Design, or other related field may be considered in lieu of a master's degree. Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred. College-level teaching experience is preferred.
