Lockwood Hills Federal is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist II to design and develop graphics, infographics, publications, videos, and website media for Advanced Digital Learning (ADL), as well as supporting definition, management, and execution of ADL’s brand identity and digital and physical presence. This role ensures cohesive messaging, maintains brand consistency, and independently creates content to drive engagement across ADL’s platforms.
ADL bridges US Government agencies to encourage collaboration, facilitate interoperability and promote best practices for using distributed learning to provide the highest quality education, training, and informal learning for the US Government. This position will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining informatics, graphics, and information displays that enhance learning experiences and convey capability and value to AOL stakeholders. The position requires extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams to create and manage scalable, secure, and efficient applications for DoD training partners and educational institutions. This position requires superb design, management skills, experience with quality control, strong time-management and administration skills, strong detail-oriented organizational abilities, and some facility with coding.

Responsibilities
- Marketing Management:
- Create and manage ADL marketing campaigns to increase engagement and facilitate buy-in with stakeholders.
- Track and analyze marketing performance metrics to refine outreach efforts.
- Social Media: Execute and oversee social media content creation, scheduling, and analytics. Monthly updates required by DSSC.
- Asset Development / Graphic Design:
- Design and maintain logo library and variations and make updates when needed (e.g., monogram, wordmark, icon, emblem, tagline, etc.).
- Assist the ADL Human Centered Design (HCD) team with management and maintenance of the ADL brand guide. This is needed to help ensure consistent messaging across all ADL work, with a focus on stakeholder messaging.
- Ensure compliance with legal and accessibility/508 standards.
- Develop brand asset library (e.g., PPT templates, conference swag, video templates, and digital media).
- Develop specific content at the point of need to communicate our messaging: e.g., custom graphics, animations, and digital media.
- Slide cleanup and beautification for the Director and leadership.
- Technical Writing & Content Development:
- Serve as a technical writer to identify, write, and execute technical documentation and written content.
- Independently create and publish videos, demonstrations, webinars, microlearning content to communicate ADL solutions, news, and announcements.
- Media Production:
- Support conference and event planning, including media capture.
- Support Working Group planning and provide marketing and graphics support, including marketing strategy planning and working group recaps.
- Support live event messaging and coordination. Attending key meetings to understand technical needs and detailed project information.
- Translate technical information into meaningful diagrams or illustrations.
- Execute according to a structured design process to meet deadlines.
- Use of design applications (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma).
- Knowledge of ADL Subject Matter for Content Production:
- Builds and maintains knowledge of ADL product base and subject matter sufficient to enable independent content development, to include:
- Preparation of technical and non-technical visual presentations through designing art and copy layouts for publication.
- Execution of established design concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
Qualifications
- Must be US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Education and Experience:
- 2yr relevant experience OR
- 1yr exp + Bachelors degree in related area OR
- 0-1yr experience + advanced degree.
