This job is a member of the Global Brand Marketing Team within the Global Engagement team.
Responsible for leading the development of processes, relationships and governance principles to optimize and unify our voice to the customer. Leads a team in planning and communications strategies for a wide variety of American Airlines products and services, who work closely with Business Unit stakeholders to craft impactful communications and marketing plans that engage new and existing customers and drive product awareness and conversion.
What you'll do
Builds strong relationships with stakeholders, including Product, Inflight Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Customer Experience Delivery, Corporate Communications, Loyalty, Co-Brand, and all internal Marketing teams to gain clear understanding of marketplace, stakeholder plans and priorities, how initiatives support our brand, all with a keen focus on unifying our voice to the customer
Acts as a strategic thought leader, guiding direct reports to develop product launch and sustainment marketing communications plans that deliver results for their respective business partners
Oversees channel placements to deliver maximize reach and performance within a defined governance structure. Identifies and develops strategy for new channel opportunities
Drives the development of robust analytics and dashboards to monitor product and channel valuation and performance
Works closely with Product & Innovation to identify opportunities and write marketing contracts
Consolidates and presents well-communicated plans and results to senior leadership, working with Email, Advertising, Social Media, Performance Marketing, Publications, B2B Marketing, Insights & Analytics and Corporate Communications
Leads and mentors a high-performing team of 5, developing and growing the team’s leadership and business skills, while coaching team to achieve professional and personal development goals
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree (preferably in marketing, advertising, communications or journalism) of equivalent experience/training
5+ years of marketing or communications experience
Project Management experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Marketing/ad agency experience
Copywriting experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Proven ability to influence across various stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage many projects under tight deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Solid understanding of marketing techniques and strategies, with track record of success building and executing on product marketing plans
Ability to network and build strong relationships with various internal stakeholders
Ability to handle large workload and changing priorities with limited direction with ease
Demonstrated success understanding and interpreting reporting and analytics
Resourceful, proactive and adaptable to changing circumstances
High level of integrity, respect and team spirit
