Job Description Summary
House Manage production and academic music performances in Salmon Recital Hall, Memorial Hall and Fish Interfaith.
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:Assist performers in hosting eventSetup and takedown chairs, stands, and/or other equipment as neededOpen and close doors of performance spaceScan ticketsMake a pre performance safety speechMay be required to move pianos in performance spacesInteract with patrons, students, ticketing services, Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music Operations Coordinator, CoPA Patron Services Coordinator and FacultyMaintain audience safety standards before, during and after each performanceManage venue cleanliness and contact janitorial team when necessaryMay be required to lift up to 25lbsAiding in managing and escalated patron issues as they pertain to seatingEmergency preparednessCommunicating relevant information to the production team, Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music Operations Coordinator and the CoPA Patron Services CoordinatorRequired completion of house manager reports
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Night and weekend availability. Ability to learn support process.
Desired QualificationsKnowledge and passion for the Performing Arts (theatre, dance and music).Previous experience managing a group or team.Previous experience in customer service and/or front of house management.Prior experience with a ticketing system.Comfortable with public speaking.Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Teams Shifts.
Special Instructions to Applicants
This position will require some advanced emergency preparedness training such as CPR/AED and Active Shooter training. These will be offered on the job or scheduled on campus
