The Vision Products Group (VPG) seeks a Graphics & Media Software Engineer to advance interactive experiences on our platform, utilizing technologies like spatial computing, AR, ARKit, and Metal, to develop groundbreaking products that delight millions daily.
Description
Join our engineering team to develop features for Apple Immersive Video playback and rendering on Apple Vision Pro. Work with technologies such as RealityKit, AVFoundation, Metal, and internal frameworks to create deeply integrated user experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years of software development experience
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience in 3D graphics rendering (Metal, Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL)
- Proficiency in C/C++, Objective-C, or Swift
- Understanding of internet protocols like HTTP
- Experience shipping applications or libraries for users
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with spatial computing and AR applications
- MS in Computer Science
- Knowledge of immersive video formats (Spherical v2, OMAF, VR180)
- Track record of building functional, beautiful applications
- Understanding of video/audio encoding, delivery, and playback
- Experience with linear algebra and 3D math
- 3D modeling experience
- Knowledge of Xcode and Apple platform development
Pay & Benefits
Base pay ranges from $135,400 to $250,600, depending on skills and experience. Additional benefits include stock options, medical/dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursement, bonuses, and relocation support. Learn more at Apple Benefits.
