What will you help us create? The Role: Amazon Design Technologies is a multidisciplinary team providing design software, systems platforms, and design processes to various teams including Product Development, New Technology, Operations, Retail, Footwear, Apparel, and Manufacturing. We are seeking innovative Applied Scientists passionate about leveraging advanced AI to solve complex challenges in product intelligence, data integration, and knowledge discovery. You will collaborate across Amazon to develop customer-focused solutions that impact our global customer base. Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement advanced AI models using the latest LLM and GenAI technologies to improve product understanding, matching, and categorization at scale. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI insights into Amazon's Devices Knowledgebase. Lead the development of scalable, production-ready AI systems. Stay at the forefront of AI research, exploring and applying new techniques in LLMs, GenAI, and multimodal learning to drive innovation. Contribute to the scientific community through publications, presentations, and academic collaborations. A Day in the Life: You will work closely with business partners and engineering teams to create scalable machine learning solutions for real-world problems. Your work will involve building efficient data analysis processes, developing and validating models, and deploying solutions. You will also prepare clear reports and share knowledge to support team success. Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience building models for business applications. PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in CS, CE, ML, or related fields. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python. Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, optimization, data mining, or high-performance computing. Preferred Qualifications:
