Job Summary
Music Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a program to teach young children music while ensuring their social development and foundation to various music styles. Music Teacher will work with classroom teachers on student expectations, group social games and implementation of music for 2-5 year olds. Teacher will see each classroom once a week for 30 minutes. School has a wide range of music instruments, age appropriate music game accessories and resources.
Hours: 6-10 hours weekly between 8:30-11:30 starting Fall 2025
Responsibilities
- Introduce students to participate and enjoy music
- Plan and lead Advent program and Spring Concert
- Encourage students to appreciate a variety of music styles
- Classroom management and working with students of all abilities and social awareness
- Lead group social games and implement a variety of play into music
Job Requirements
- Ability to navigate multiple stairs and playground surfaces
- Sit on floor and smaller chairs to work with children
- Ability to lift 40 lbs on a daily basis
- Complete Protecting God's Children training and background check
