The ideal candidate for this position has experience in visual designMust enjoy and have experience working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translating them into wireframes, and design comps for the development teamMust be flexible, able to work in a highly collaborative environment, juggle multiple tasks at once, and work independently and collaboratively as neededMust have superior interpersonal skills and strong communication skills4+ years UX design experience working with complex web application developmentSolid familiarity and experience in Agile Methodology and Scrum ceremoniesExperience with standard wireframing and UX tools, including previous experience with Adobe XD(Adobe Experience Design)Good grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, and usability and accessibility concernsFamiliarity in usability and accessibilityAbility to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and visionAbility to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, solutions to teams and clients, and be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticismAbility to pass public trust government clearanceAt least 3 referenceable projects with experience as a UX DesignerPre-employment background and credit check in addition to any applicable client clearance is necessaryThis person must also be able to pass a Public Trust background check/clearance required by the clientThis position is open to US-based candidates onlyResponsibilities
Serve as a UX Designer as part of a dynamic team supporting our government client with an information-sharing missionDesign content-rich web applications using the Agile development methodologyUnder minimal direction, perform as a UX Designer responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, design comps and prototypesThe UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and ensure a great user experience in accordance with usability, accessibility and complianceSupport the implementation of the client's product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for a mission critical set of web applicationsTranslate concepts into wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces supporting responsive web design and intuitive user experiencesTake a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate visual designsWork as part of an integrated and collaborative Agile development teamActively participate in Scrum ceremonies, e.g., Sprint Planning, Grooming, Review and RetrospectivesCompany information
