RFP/Q's TV NexT: Open Call to Artists & Creatives

U.S. National Deadline: July 14, 2025 – The Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (Leahy BTV), in partnership with Burlington City Arts (BCA), is inviting submissions for a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for artists and creative teams. This opportunity involves designing and fabricating permanent architectural enhancements in three spaces within the BTV NexT Project, part of the airport’s terminal expansion.

Selected teams will work with the airport’s architects and contractors to create site-specific wall treatments that align with the terminal’s design goals and can be completed within a tight schedule. The spaces include a children’s play area, an open seating lounge, and a fireplace room, each with unique dimensions and themes connected to Vermont’s identity, natural beauty, and the airport’s focus on sustainability and innovation.

Budget
The total funding for the enhancements is $367,033. From applicants, ten finalists will be chosen to develop detailed proposals, each receiving a $1,000 honorarium. Final decisions will be made later in the year, with installation scheduled to match the construction timeline.
