VCU Athletics Assistant Director for Marketing & Promotions
VCU Athletics is seeking an energetic, professional Assistant Director for Marketing & Promotions.
Summary The Assistant Director for Marketing & Promotions works closely with all facets of game day event planning and implementation. Reporting to the Assistant AD for Marketing & Promotions, this role supports VCU's Division I intercollegiate athletic programs, including Women's Basketball and Baseball, as well as the overall VCU Athletics brand.
Typical Duties
Marketing & Promotions
Oversee all marketing responsibilities for select sports, including Women's Basketball and Baseball.
Develop and implement marketing plans, promotional schedules, and ticket sales campaigns, including all aspects of game presentation (scripts, promotions, entertainment, etc.).
Establish effective on-campus marketing efforts to increase student attendance.
Coordinate VCU Athletics' presence at community events in and around Richmond.
Assist with athletics department communications coordination.
Support social media efforts.
Game Day Experience
Oversee the Junior Rowdy Rams Kids Club.
Coordinate and manage mascot appearances.
Assist with game day presentation duties for Men's Basketball.
Support band/spirit squad coordination.
