Assistant Marketing Manager, Baker Book House

Position Objective:
The assistant marketing manager's primary objective is to assist with the entire marketing process and strategy of Baker Book House. This role supports the efforts of the retail and ecommerce channels to achieve the financial goals of the organization and be profitable.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for driving sales and strategy through email marketing
Create once a month type emails like new releases and events
Send 4-5 emails that are based on transactions including a weekly newsletter
Send emails around special in-store events and sales
Set up preorder email deliverables as requested by our publishing partners.
Coordinate email requests from our publishing partners
Help support in-store and virtual events by setting up Eventbrite, which distributes to Facebook and BakerBookHouse.com. Coordinate the creation of graphics and support materials for events (Eventbrite header, endcap, poster, shelf talkers and any other needs that arise.) Possibly provide tech support for in-store events.
Builds and implements OptInMonster slide-ins on BakerBookHouse.com
Assist in creating in-store marketing materials like flyers, signage, etc.
Build and maintain landing pages on BakerBookHouse.com
Add additional digital assets on individual book pages on BakerBookHouse.com as requested by store team or publishing marketing.
Build and maintain ads that run on the television monitors in-store.
Manage and create banner ads for BakerBookHouse.com and for BakerAcademic.com home page.
Serves as the liaison between publishing and retail operations.
Other tasks may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
At least two years of marketing experience
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are essential
Strong relational skills, seeking to serve and meet the needs of the store staff and the customers
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Aptitude as a self-starter
Able to use email building programs, Canva, Prism, Microsoft Office products, and Adobe Suite experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required
Compensation and Benefits
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a full-time position, benefits offered include health, dental, vision, group life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, profit sharing, paid time off, paid parental leave, 401(k) after three months, and others.
