Position Overview:

Seeking a highly creative and strategic Footwear Designer to lead the design and development of our inaugural footwear line. This is a unique opportunity to be the first full-time hire dedicated exclusively to footwear, playing a key role in shaping and building the category from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Creative Director/Founder, the ideal candidate will bring a strong design sensibility, technical knowledge, and entrepreneurial mindset to help realize the brand’s vision through exceptional footwear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design process for all footwear styles, from concept through final sample.
• Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure brand alignment and creative consistency.
• Develop seasonal mood boards, sketches, tech packs, and prototypes in partnership with cross-functional teams including product development, sourcing, and production.
• Translate market trends and brand identity into commercially viable and innovative footwear designs.
• Partner with factories and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality sample development and production.
• Attend fittings, conduct wear tests, and make necessary adjustments to ensure comfort, functionality, and style.
• Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to understand customer needs and market opportunities.
• Help define the long-term vision and growth strategy for the footwear category.
  
  

• 4+ years of experience in footwear design, preferably in luxury or contemporary fashion.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of original footwear designs and technical proficiency.
• Deep understanding of footwear construction, materials, and development processes.
• Proven ability to take a product from concept to production.
• Excellent sketching, CAD, and communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Passionate about design, innovation, and brand.
