The Role
Associate Photographers are responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Using top-of-the-line equipment like Pro 3 Matterport cameras, digital cameras, and iPads, they create virtual tours, floorplans, and photography of residential homes. Each photographer is assigned a core territory for servicing clients of these platforms.
They will set appointments to scan homes and apartments, capturing virtual tours and floor plans, and also take residential photographs for marketing purposes. The role involves working closely with clients, sales teams, logistics, and management, with remote management by a Photography Manager in local markets.
Responsibilities
- Capture virtual tours and footprints to support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com.
- Create a portfolio of appealing photographs of homes and apartments, utilizing professional photography techniques.
- Coordinate with scheduling and dispatch teams to optimize appointments and meet client demands.
- Communicate professionally with clients, sales, research partners, and management to evaluate priorities and initiatives.
- Survey markets to identify new inventory, missing data, and properties for photography, covering a one-mile square grid.
- Follow safety standards to protect company vehicles and equipment.
- Represent CoStar professionally at all times.
- Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive sitting in a car, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours daily.
- Lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements for operating equipment.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, and twisting.
- Work and drive outdoors in all seasons.
- Work weekends on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
- Experience in Real Estate Photography required.
- Professional photography experience or recent photography degree.
- FAA Part 107 Drone License/Certification within 30 days of employment.
- Strong time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately capture and input data.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Field experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and responsible driving record.
Compensation
This hourly position offers approximately $50,000 annually, with monthly performance bonuses based on pre-set metrics. It is a performance-driven role with bonus incentives.
