We’re looking for a
full-time, entry-level 3D Animator / Motion Designer
to join our in-house team in
Burlingame, CA .
This is a creative, hands-on production role working on everything from internal campaigns to client deliverables and social media-ready animations. You’ll collaborate with designers and animators to bring products, characters, and branded content to life.
Position Overview
Job Title: 3D Animator / Motion Designer Employment Type: Full-Time (Entry Level) Location: 320 Beach Road, Burlingame, CA 94010 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Onsite only — no remote roles available) Starting Pay: $22/hour
Responsibilities
Participate in client consultations, project planning, and quoting discussions. Create short-form animated content for web and social media—handling all stages including: Modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging (characters, props, environments). Animation, sound effects, background audio, and AI-generated dialogue. Model hyper-realistic product packaging with accurate scale, materials, laminates, finishes, and print styles. Model 3D characters and mascots based on packaging art, celebrity references, or client photos—prioritizing likeness and stylized realism over hyper-detail. Utilize stock assets or AI tools when applicable; custom-model only when needed. Create digital storyboards to communicate narrative structure with clients. Collaborate with the animation team for efficient handoffs and speed-optimized workflows. Track project progress and file revisions using ClickUp or similar task management tools. Manage multiple concurrent projects with tight turnarounds without sacrificing quality or detail. Required Skills:
Proficiency in Blender, Maya, or comparable 3D software. Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent programs. Experience with AI-assisted asset generation for props, characters, or environments. Strong communication and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to project pivots.
Bonus (Preferred, but not required):
Experience with packaging design or die line layouts. Sales experience or familiarity with client-facing creative work. Experience with sound design for animation and/or AI-generated audio and dialogue.
