Job Description: Radio Installer at St John WA

Position Overview
As a Radio Installer with St John WA, you'll join a proactive, self-motivated team at our modern Belmont workshop. Your role involves installing and deinstalling communications equipment used in our ambulance fleet. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within an evolving Not-For-Profit organization providing essential community services.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation and deinstallation tasks as per supervisor instructions
- Follow vehicle delivery schedules to ensure smooth operations
- Meet KPIs related to communication equipment setup
- Assist ambulance staff and volunteers with system and radio needs
- Coordinate with staff and volunteers to schedule installation appointments
- Update fleet management systems accordingly
- Maintain stock levels of equipment and consumables
Requirements
- Current 'C' or 'CA' Class Driver's Licence with no more than 6 demerit points
- Knowledge of radio frequency technologies and communication equipment
- Ability to work independently
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with 12V vehicle electrical systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desirable: Knowledge of 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, satellite communication, and experience installing emergency lights and sirens
