Assist in editing and supporting the publication of daily, weekly, and monthly initiatives to support AutoZone’s business operations and culture.Update Intranet content and ensure all content and graphics adhere to site and AutoZone design standards.Assist in the design and creation of media (traditional and digital) for internal communications.Collaborate cross-functionally and provide recommendations on web content and page designs.Support and execute enterprise communication strategies for the company.Verify internal communications (i.e., Intranet, presentations, newsletters, blogs, website, video scripts, quarterly magazine, etc.) align with company culture and brand.Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.Create surveys to support company initiatives using approved company survey tools (e.g., Microsoft Forms, MangoApps).Participate in the process of defining communications-related project requirements.Develop cross-functional relationships and approvals during the creation of graphics, illustrations, icons, and intranet page layouts to support internal communications.Ensure consistent use of the AutoZone Brand Guidelines and trademarks. Familiar with Digital Asset Management (DAM).Review documents for grammar, spelling, and style, ensuring tone and character meet company guidelines. Fact-check dates and other statements for accuracy.Confirm all submitted writing is original.Meet proofreading deadlines.Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct reportsEducation and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, web design, marketing or similar discipline preferred. Or three years of experience in related fields in lieu of a degree.Ability to prepare project summaries and presentations with proper format and assure accuracy in and proper use of punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech. Knowledge of AP style preferred.Strong writing and organizational skills are a must. Retail background preferred.Fact-checking and research expertise.Excellent grammar and communication skills.Solid knowledge of best practices in communicating in digital (online and mobile) and print mediums.Familiarity with tools and processes for editing documentation and website content.Understanding of mobile technology trends and tools is a plus.Proven graphic designing experience.Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative, focused on results; ability to manage multiple projects at times within ambiguous and undefined circumstances.Must be able to simplify technical business requirements for audiences without expertise on the subject.Must work as a team player with AutoZoners from all departments and levels within the organization.Occasional travel or weekend support may be required for emergencies affecting AutoZoners or sales.Benefits at AutoZone
