Essential Functions
Develop and Implement Communication Strategies:
Create comprehensive communication plans that support the Operations department's goals, including capital improvements, maintenance initiatives, and community engagement efforts.
Content Creation and Management:
Produce engaging, informative content for a variety of channels, including press releases, newsletters, websites, and social media, ensuring consistency with the district's brand and communication objectives.
Media Relations:
Act as a liaison between the Operations department and the media, coordinating interviews, and responding to media inquiries related to operational projects and initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, community members, and external partners, ensuring transparent and effective communication regarding operational projects and events.
Event Coordination:
Assist in the planning and execution of public engagement events related to capital projects and maintenance initiatives, including community meetings and informational sessions.
Crisis Communication:
In collaboration with the District's Communications team, assist in managing communications during Operations related emergencies or crises, ensuring accurate and timely information dissemination.
Reporting and Evaluation:
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies, using data to inform and adjust tactics as needed.
Project Support:
Collaborate with project managers and other operational staff to ensure alignment between project objectives and communication efforts.

Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role, preferably within an educational or public sector environment.
Strong Writing Skills:
Exceptional ability in crafting clear, compelling content for various audiences and formats.
Project Management:
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Digital Proficiency:
Experience with digital communication platforms, social media management, and content management systems.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking:
Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop impactful communication strategies.
Team Collaboration:
Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
