Are you passionate about video production and looking to grow your career in a fast-paced, creative environment? Blitz Studios is seeking a talented freelance videographer/editor to collaborate with our team on a variety of exciting projects. From business promos to documentaries, short films, weddings, events, and more, you'll play a key role in bringing our clients' visions to life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all phases of production, including pre-production, filming, and post-production.
- Work both on location and in-studio on diverse projects such as corporate videos, live events, and creative storytelling pieces.
- Operate and maintain professional video equipment, ensuring proper camera settings (shutter speed, aperture, white balance, ISO, frame rates, etc.) for different shooting conditions.
- Adapt quickly in high-pressure environments like weddings, making real-time adjustments to capture the best shots.
- Handle post-production tasks, including footage organization, cutting interviews, color grading (LOG footage), creating motion graphics, and applying client revisions.
- Ensure the secure transfer, storage, and backup of all project footage.
- Work with various camera systems (mirrorless, cinema cameras), stabilizers (gimbals, sliders, monopods), and lighting/audio setups.
- Edit projects primarily in Final Cut Pro, with knowledge of Adobe Premiere being a plus.
- Collaborate with the creative team to bring concepts to life, often under tight deadlines and quick turnaround times.
Qualifications:
- 1-3+ years of experience in videography and editing (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio recording techniques.
- Experience with manual focus, lens selection, and composition techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative when needed.
- Proficiency in Final Cut Pro (Adobe Premiere is a plus).
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to work on weekends, depending on project needs.
Depending on skill level, you will serve as a lead and/or second shooter/camera assistant/production assistant. This includes running cameras, setting up lights, capturing audio, and perfecting shot composition. During post, you will work primarily in Final Cut Pro for the wide variety of projects aforementioned above. You must submit a demo reel to be considered for this position. You may be required to prove your camera operation and editing skills during the interview process. Pay level will be based on skill, experience, and type of job (lead shooting, second shooting, etc.).
