JOB SUMMARY:
In collaboration with several teams, the Motion Designer II fully participates in the ongoing production and gives life to the projects to which he or she is assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Under minimal supervision, animates elements in 2D or 3D.
- Exports basic static graphics and animations to the programming and sound departments.
- Attends and participates in brainstorming meetings.
- Under minimal supervision, adapts and/or fixes game animations.
- Under minimal supervision, creates special effects using After Effects software.
- Under minimal supervision, imports and creates animations in Unity.
- Stays in daily communication with the team and/or project members.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- University degree in Graphic Animation or equivalent, or relevant experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Motion Design, preferably within a gaming environment.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to work with After Effects software.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to work with Photoshop software.
- Basic knowledge of the gaming industry.
- Demonstrated time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills, able to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Ability to speak, read and write in French and English.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Open to continuous learning.
- Able to work individually and collaboratively within a team.
ASSETS:
- Knowledge of 3DS Max software, preferred.
- Knowledge of Unity, preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Depending on the position, may have to travel locally, nationally or internationally.
