In pursuit of this, our 70+ person Research and Design Studio provides the user research, UX design, and brand design for Kindle E-readers, Kindle apps for phones and tablets, Author & Publisher tools, and book shopping experiences used by millions of readers and thousands of authors around the world. Your Books for Amazon Books is the home of our customers digital library. We are seeking a strong Sr. UX Designer to lead our efforts in creating seamless, personalized reading experiences for the digital bookshelf across multiple surfaces. As a single-threaded leader, you'll drive the fusion of product and design to develop innovative and novel ways to connect with and retain book lovers worldwide. Key job responsibilities Lead the design strategy for Your Books, aligning user needs with business goals and technological capabilities
Utilize and implement a cohesive design system that spans multiple surfaces
Utilize data-driven insights and emerging technologies (e.g., AI) to create innovative reading experiences
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute on the product roadmap
Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and innovation
Present design concepts and strategies to executive leadership, advocating for user-centered solutions
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure Your Books remains at the forefront of digital reading innovation
Basic Qualifications 8+ years of design experience
Experience in visual design demonstrated through design concepts, case studies, documentation, mockups and style guides
Experience partnering with technical partners for design implementation
Have an online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and advertising experience across a range of media and platforms, along with work that reflects your design process
Experience designing brand guidelines
Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Usertesting.com)
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising solutions
Knowledge of typographic and brand design principles

The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
