Bowhead is actively recruiting a Public Relations Specialist to provide multimedia support for a proposal effort in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities

Track, consolidate, and document completion status of required data calls, requests for information, and multimedia presentations for public affairs initiatives and requirements, to disseminate relevant information to internal and external audiences, including subordinate organizations, external support organizations, families, reserve personnel, media representatives, other military organizations, and the general public. Provide strategic communications recommendations to develop increased awareness of LCSRON 1’s key messages to internal and external target audiences through official media releases, social media postings, outreach programs, and staff presentations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Audiovisual Communications, Journalism, Photojournalism, Mass Communications, Multimedia Management) from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of professional experience in mass communications or journalism. Military experience as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Mass Communications Specialist or as a Commissioned Officer in Public Affairs, or relevant DoD government experience is preferred. Two (2) years of experience developing communications process productivity tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience within the last five (5) years developing or producing metrics tools and reports. Physical Demands : Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Capable of standing and walking for prolonged periods. Able to twist, bend, and squat periodically. Security Clearance Requirements : Must currently hold a Secret security clearance at the time of award.
