The Category Marketing Intern will provide effective day-to-day support across the Enterprise: Murphy USA and QuickChek brands. This is a great opportunity to experience an enterprise marketing group across both brands. The Intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams on effective campaigns across key categories: Fuel, Merchandising (Center of Store), and Food & Beverage. The Intern will collaborate with Marketing Activation to drive Brand objectives: Advertising, Content, Grassroots / Event, Partnership, Signage, Social, and overall Omnichannel Experience. The Intern will work closely with Marketing and Brand Team and will have curiosity and understanding of the business and the way Marketing can benefit business goals.
NOTE: This role is based on-site at our QuickChek Support Center in Whitehouse Station, NJ.
Responsibilities Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Partners with Brand & Category Marketing peers, Loyalty, Food & Beverage, Center Store Merchandising, and other partners to ensure projects are well orchestrated and executed• Assisting in deploying a comprehensive marketing plan by Sales Period involving and/or informing cross-functional partners as necessary• Supports content marketing development for Enterprise including social channels• Effectively packages and communicates results for Marketing Activation leadership• Applies lessons learned on subsequent program iterations and identifies opportunities to improve outcomes and processes, as well as to reduce costs• Advocates for Marketing Activation function across specific brands and cross-Enterprise by developing strong internal relationships
Qualifications Qualifications include the following:
• Obtained or pursuing a degree in business or related area of study• Experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel preferred• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Meticulous and highly organized with strong project management capabilities• Proactive with a self-starter mentality, strong collaborator and collaborative nature• Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn, demonstrates a growth-mindset• Ability to adapt with shifting priorities
Pay Rate:
$20/hour
