We are seeking a Motion Graphics Artist to join our growing Post Production team. This role is for someone who lives and breathes design, has a sharp eye for detail, and thrives on bringing movement and meaning to bold visuals. You’ll work across a variety of projects, from 2D motion graphics and static design to pitch decks and branded content for top-tier clients.
This is a full-time role that requires deep experience in both animation and design, with opportunities to contribute creatively from pitch through post.
This is a freelance position with the potential to transition into a full-time role after 9 months, based on performance and team needs.
- Motion Graphics Creation: Design and animate high-quality 2D - 2.5D motion graphics for commercials, branded content, digital campaigns, and social assets.
- Graphic Design: Create static and animated graphics for capabilities decks, pitch materials, and project treatments with an emphasis on clean, brand-aligned visuals.
- Conceptual Thinking: Translate creative briefs into visually engaging motion solutions, exploring multiple design styles across genres and formats.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with creative directors, producers, and editors to ensure cohesive visual storytelling from concept to final delivery.
- File Management & Delivery: Maintain organized project files and prepare assets for various outputs including social, digital, and broadcast.
- Photoshop & Design Tools: Use industry-standard tools like Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite applications to bring ideas to life.
Qualifications
A strong candidate for this position should have the following qualities:
- Experience Level: 5+ years as a motion graphics artist or designer, with a portfolio that demonstrates high-end 2D design and animation across a range of styles.
- Design Background: Strong foundational skills in typography, layout, color, and composition with a fine art or graphic design background preferred.
- Multi-Platform Design: Experience designing for a variety of formats including commercial spots, digital campaigns, and social media platforms.
- Client-Caliber Work: Proven experience working with top-tier brands and delivering polished, high-impact visuals in fast-paced environments.
- Pitch & Presentation: Ability to design compelling motion and static elements for pitch decks, sizzle reels, and client presentations.
- Tool Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator; familiarity with Figma, InDesign, or other design tools is a plus.
- Genre Versatility: Ability to adapt across different styles, aesthetics, and brand voices depending on the project.
Nice To Have's
- Editing Experience: Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere with the ability to support editorial workflows when needed.
- 3D/VFX Skills: Familiarity with 3D applications (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) or VFX techniques that complement motion design work.
- Sound Design Sense: Understanding of how motion graphics and audio work together, with the ability to make sound design suggestions or references.
- Team Flexibility: Comfortable jumping in to support across post, design, and production as needed.
$500 – $700 per day (freelance rate), equivalent to $120,000 – $170,000 annually depending on experience and availability.
