Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and produce design packages using AutoCAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Mechanically draft and produce drawings, including instrument location plans, P&ID revisions, instrument index, loop drawings, panel wiring diagrams, and more.
- Perform field verification, inspections, and sketches to ensure designs align with field conditions.
- Conduct thorough parts searches, utilizing engineering and vendor data for design solutions.
- Collaborate with other designers and disciplines to ensure cross-functional project alignment.
- Maintained and organized file structures and design packages, ensuring project deliverables were properly documented and filed.
- Engage with clients directly to understand design needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Resolve design challenges and collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
Education and Work Experience:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. with additional specialized/technical training, some college coursework, and 5 to 10 years of relevant experience are required.
- An associate degree is preferred, and 10+ years of experience in instrument design are strongly favored.
