Successful completion of the Lesson Plan Writing training course: $250.00Remixed Lessons: $50.00 per lesson: paid at the end of each completed unit once the lessons have been edited and approvedProject Template Lessons: $200.00 per project: paid at the end of each completed unit once the project has been edited and approvedThematic Unit: $50.00 per unit day: Complete Unit Package must be submitted and will be paid once the unit has been edited and approvedReports to : AZCTECC Director

Position Summary : The Curriculum Writer uses subject matter knowledge and insights to develop a high-quality standards-aligned curriculum. The Curriculum Writer is responsible for developing and writing the Career and Technical Education curriculum, including informational lessons, operational lessons (labs), projects, and units in alignment with Arizona Technical and Professional Standards in the Arizona CTE Curriculum Consortium Format.
Duties and Responsibilities : The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
Develop curriculum units that align with the Arizona CTE Technical and Professional Standards and Instructional Resource documents, including the Scope & Sequence and Task Analysis in the program areaMeet and work collaboratively with the Content Specialist to determine lesson flow and accuracyWrite lessons/projects/units and supporting material to specific design criteria as established by the ConsortiumAdjust and revise lessons/projects/units as recommended by the editorial teamTraining and Evaluation : Curriculum Writers are required to successfully complete a Lesson Plan Writing Training course (~ 16 hours) and produce materials for a quality lesson plan reviewed and approved by the editorial team. A comprehensive lesson review will be completed upon unit and/or project submission thereafter using the AZCTECC Editor's Rubric. Curriculum Writers complete an initial onboarding meeting with the Director, Assistant Director, and any other team members to discuss the curriculum development process. At this point a draft schedule for the program curriculum development will be shared, communication preferences discussed, and a schedule for support established
Expectations : Curriculum Writers are an integral part of the lesson writing and curriculum development process. As such, regular, consistent, and timely completion of the lesson planning and review is critical. Curriculum Writers are expected to communicate regularly with a Content Specialist (as needed), Editor, and Director/Assistant Director to ensure timely progress of curriculum development.
Qualifications :
AZ CTE Teaching Certificate in the content area identified for curriculum developmentTwo years experience as a CTE teacherCompleted or must complete Instructional Best PracticesParticipation in an AZCTECC event (Blueprint & Framework, Scope and Sequence, etc.) preferredLocal CTE Director/CTE Administrator Letter of RecommendationSkills and Abilities:
