Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Position Summary
Agile RF Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to lead innovative active electronically steered antenna design projects. This individual will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and testing of advanced antenna technologies for Department of Defense and Commercial/Civil Space applications. With expertise in phased array-based radar systems, satellite communication phased arrays, and large space deployable antennas, this position requires a highly skilled RF engineer with extensive experience in antenna design and RF system analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Antenna Design and Simulation
·Lead full wave modeling and simulation using CST or similar tools.
·Develop and analyze small and large antenna array radiators.
·Design multilayer printed circuit board RF transitions to optimize performance.
Testing and Data Analysis
·Conduct Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) testing to validate antenna designs.
·Perform antenna testing using far-field and near-field methods.
·Post-process test data to evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
Technical Documentation and Reporting
·Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
·Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
System-Level Analysis and Integration
·Conduct system-level analysis and testing of radar and communication systems.
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate RF components into larger systems.
Qualifications
·Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
·10+ years of experience in RF engineering, antenna design, or a related field.
·Expertise in full-wave electromagnetic simulation tools.
·Strong proficiency in Matlab, Python, or C for RF system analysis and simulation.
·Familiarity with PCB layout and multilayer RF transitions.
· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and as a self-starter.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotic near-field range antenna testing.
- Familiarity with radomes and radar cross-section measurements.
- Knowledge of satellite communication systems and space deployable antennas.
This is a full-time, office-based position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some travel may be required for project meetings, testing, or customer support.
Compensation
The compensation for this position ranges between $100,000 and $150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
