Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.Summary:The goal of this project is to develop concise and effective training programs for new client operators by adapting existing training materials for processes, procedures, and technology across various work areas. The new training courses are for two primary audiences:
Vehicle Service Technicians and Autonomous Vehicle Testers.
The training will focus on the specific tasks and responsibilities of the new operator role, eliminating unnecessary content and optimizing the learning experience.
Responsibilities:As an instructional designer, you will be responsible for:
Content Analysis:
Thoroughly review and analyze existing training materials to identify essential components relevant to new operators' tasks.Content Reduction:
Eliminate redundant or irrelevant information to create a streamlined training curriculum.Training Optimization:
Identify opportunities to consolidate repetitive training activities, reduce training time, or enhance learning efficiency.Instructional Design:
Apply expert instructional design principles to develop engaging and effective training materials for new operators.
Consult with Training Program Manager (TPM):
Daily check-in to discuss project progress, challenges, and upcoming tasks. Collaborate on content prioritization and sequencing for optimal learning. Review feedback from TPM on developed content and incorporate revisions.Write Training Content Development Requirements:
Clearly define learning objectives for each training module. Outline specific topics, key points, and skill demonstrations to be included. Specify desired learning outcomes and assessment methods.Review Existing Training Materials:
Analyze existing content for relevance, accuracy, and potential for reuse. Identify areas for consolidation or elimination to streamline the new program. Document findings and recommendations for improvement.Meet with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
Schedule and conduct regular meetings to gather input on content needs. Collaborate with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of materials. Incorporate stakeholder feedback to ensure alignment with business objectives.Additional Responsibilities:
Develop engaging training content (e.g., presentations, e-learning modules, job aids) based on requirements and stakeholder input. Continuously evaluate and update training materials to maintain relevance and effectiveness. Participate in pilot testing and gather feedback from new operators to refine the training program. Maintain organized documentation of all project-related activities and deliverables.

Instructional Design Expertise:
Proven ability to apply adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and various learning modalities to create engaging and effective training materials.Content Development:
Demonstrated experience in developing various training materials (e.g., presentations, e-learning modules, job aids, videos) tailored to specific audiences and learning objectives.Content Analysis and Editing:
Strong analytical skills to assess existing content, identify gaps and redundancies, and revise materials for clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders, SMEs, and the training program manager. Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively to achieve project goals.Project Management:
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.Relevant Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design and content development, preferably in a corporate or technical environment.Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and learning management systems (LMS). Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) is a plus.Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the relevant processes, procedures, and technologies used by new operators is preferred.

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:Professional certifications in instructional design (e.g., CPLP) or related fields demonstrate a commitment to professional development and expertise.
Pay rate range:
$64.85 - $71.25 hourly
