Pay Philosophy The typical starting salary range for this role ($96,000 - $120,000) is determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full salary range reflects the competitive market value and offers opportunities for progression as employees develop within the role. We are seeking an Associate Consultant, Public Relations, to support our media and public relations team, reporting to the Director II of Business Operations & Financial Communications. This role involves supporting and executing public relations activities across business units, primarily in our commercial and personal insurance divisions. Responsibilities Support and lead external communications efforts targeting media, customers, brokers, agents, employees, and industry partners. Collaborate with management to support strategy including thought leadership and media opportunities across channels. Work with internal partners to manage external communications and enhance the company's reputation. Engage with media, creating statements, press releases, talking points, and media training materials. Research media trends and coverage. Manage content on the company newsroom. Track and report on communication effectiveness. Assist in managing agency partners. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field. At least 4 years of relevant corporate communications experience, preferably with media relations. Experience in media interactions and external stakeholder engagement. Ability to build networks, execute strategic plans, and counsel partners. Proficiency in PR measurement tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of GenAI communication tools. Ability to work independently in a matrixed environment. Creative mindset to explore emerging PR areas. Strong media consumption habits.
