Reports to:
Director Business Unit America Summary: The Design Lead is responsible for designing the company’s new products and systems. They will perform tasks in an engineering department including drafting blueprints, creating test prototypes, and overseeing manufacturing. This position leads the Design Engineering team and approves all designs. Responsibilities: Lead the Design Engineering team, managing schedules, planning, and tracking project completion Create concepts and detailed designs for assemblies and devices Develop necessary construction and production documents Prepare BOMs, subassemblies, and detailed drawings Conduct Kick-Off and Design Review Meetings Document the design process for traceability Create designs and specifications for new parts Edit design changes Support sales with quotations, feasibility studies, etc. Provide technical leadership in product design and development Lead problem-solving efforts across materials, systems, and manufacturing Collaborate with other departments to ensure design compatibility and functionality Conduct design reviews, present findings, and communicate with leadership Ensure compliance with industry standards Guide design verification and validation Stay updated with technological advancements and industry trends Handle change requests and documentation in SAP (ECR) Define specifications for purchased parts Serve as technical lead for other Design Engineers Support production processes Qualifications and Skills : Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident Advanced design skills Creative thinking focused on products Deep knowledge of industry design principles Strong CAD or engineering software skills Excellent problem-solving skills Good time management and prioritization Effective communication skills 100% Onsite 10+ years of experience Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing preferred Expected Salary:
