We are seeking a creative and dynamic
Communication and Engagement Specialist
to join our People team. This role is responsible for developing and driving employee engagement initiatives, executing communications plans, and administering our reward and recognition program. The ideal candidate is passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture, skilled in storytelling, and experienced in crafting impactful styles of communication that align with our values and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement internal communication plans to promote People-related initiatives, programs, and updates. Collaborate with the People team and business leaders to create clear, engaging content that informs and inspires employees. Manage the creation and distribution of newsletters, people-related announcements, and other communication materials. Ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging across all people-related communications. Plan, organize, and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including team-building activities, wellness programs, recognition events, and social gatherings. Collaborate with People team members to develop and implement strategies to enhance employee morale, motivation, and job satisfaction. Conduct surveys and gather feedback from employees to assess engagement levels and identify areas for improvement. Manage and administer a rewards and recognition program that aligns with company values and enhances employee experience. Serve as the point of contact for planning, logistics, and execution of the rewards and recognition program. Work within an assigned budget for engagement and rewards and recognition program spending. Gather feedback from employees and analyze engagement data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Stay current on trends in employee engagement, communication tools, and workplace culture strategies. Support the development of communication templates and toolkits for the People team programs and processes. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Requirements
Experience:
1+ year of experience in communications, employee engagement, human resources, or related field. Proven experience developing and executing internal communication programs and employee engagement programs. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resources, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, preferred. Qualifications & Competencies:
Strong understanding of employee engagement principles, theories, and practices. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail. Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative solutions to engage and motivate employees. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
