Overview:
To assist in managing communication initiatives including internal communication, marketing collateral and external collaboration with partners, media personnel and more. Duties include writing clear and compelling copy across various mediums including press releases, newsletters, ads and sales pitches.
Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited and skilled writer with an eye for detail that is experienced in project management, communications strategy and can offer valuable and timely insight.
Specific Duties:
(Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following)
Communications & Media
Develop marketing communications plans including strategy, goals, budget and tacticsCoordinate all public relations activitiesLeverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry mediaManage media inquiries and interview requestsCollaborate on strategic media pitches to maintain media engagement for the United Center and The 1901 ProjectCreate content for press releases, marketing material and keynote presentationsMonitor, analyze and communicate PR resultsMaintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding themEvent and Partner Acquisition
Collaborate internally with various departments and organizations to develop deliverables and meet all required bid specifications and/or partner pitch materialsCurate client-facing copy and material to pitch potential events and partnershipsAlign with Partnerships team to fulfill all contractual requirements including partnership announcements, collaboration and integrationEvent Management
Provide media escorts for photographers at concerts/family shows at select eventsDevelop media plans to support the promotion of select eventsRequirements & Skills
4+ years of proven working experience in public relations, copywriter or related roleAgency experience preferredProven track record designing and executing successful communications campaignsExcellent writing, editing and proofreading skillsCollaborative spiritExcellent time-management and organizational skillsEvent planning experienceBA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related disciplineBENEFITS – WHAT YOU RECEIVE
