Overview
ASM Global, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Director of Marketing at ASM - Thunder Ridge Nature Arena. The Director of Marketing oversees the planning and implementation of a complete marketing campaign for the facility and all events including group sales, sponsorships, advertising, direct mail, promotion, and publicity. This position will also develop and implement an in-house agency to act on behalf of the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Directs the public relations image of the facilityEstablishes and maintains relationships with media, industry influencers and key community and strategic partnersActs as facility spokesperson and liaison with the general publicDevelops and implements an advertising and publicity campaign to create regional and national awareness of the facilityCreates and supervises marketing plans for events when required, to include all available services: group sales, public relations, media placement, direct mail, promotional development, non -profit opportunities, etc.Operates the department with a conscious commitment to maximum exposure for the facility and its events, through the most effective and efficient means possibleDevelops marketing materials and procedures to have the department function effectively as an in house agencyAggressively seeks new contacts and maintains working relationships with all media representatives, civic and industry organizations, corporate promotional contacts, and event and booking representativesRemains current on national trends in the industry and local market changes to best serve the facilityMaintains and increases facility signage revenuesExplores new avenues of revenue(s) for the facilityDevelops and maintains a facility websiteSupervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Marketing, Public Relations and Group Sales staff. The Director of Marketing carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field preferredMinimum of 4 years' experience in Marketing, Public Relations or Sales in entertainment industry or related fieldOr equivalent combination of education and experience requiredExposure to and familiarity with similar facility environment2-3 years supervisory experienceSkills and Abilities
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills requiredAbility to effectively supervise staffAbility to prioritize multiple projectsHigh aptitude for figures and advanced writing skillsProfessional presentation, appearance and work ethicComputer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of spreadsheet software and work processing software and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
