Lifestyle Agreement and Statement of Faith
The NCA board of directors views each employee, not only as a professional but also as a vehicle by which the mission and vision at NCA is put into action and unfolds to its students, families as well as to the surrounding community. PART-TIME ART AND MULTI-MEDIA TEACHER
NCA is a Christian School serving grades Jr.K-12. All qualifying candidates must support the mission statement: "New Covenant Academy is a Christian school committed to Academic Excellence, Biblical Truth, and Christ-like character."
New Covenant Academy is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Art & Multi-Media Teacher (employment agreement renewable annually pending board approval) beginning August 2025. The individual will work at New Covenant Academy's Warrior Campus located at 3304 S. Cox Rd. Springfield, MO. IMPORTANT NOTE: In the 2025-2026 school year this role is renewable pending board approval, but will become part-time.
JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the teacher is to engage and inspire students to learn the subject matter and impart skills and attitudes that will positively contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women. The teacher will integrate Biblical principles throughout the curriculum, plan and implement a course of study to meet the individual needs of students, prepare and submit lesson plans, and assess student progress while demonstrating their own mastery of the subject matter taught. The teacher must also communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, students, administration, and faculty for the success of each student. TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates must have a valid Missouri (or from another state within the U.S.) Teaching Certificate and hold an appropriate endorsement in the areas of instruction with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in the area of teaching. Furthermore, candidates must have a Christian testimony reflected in a daily walk that exemplifies the Christian faith and must demonstrate evidence of regeneration and dedication to the cause of Christ, and have an expressed desire (call) to work in a Christian school.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:
The salary base for this position with the required minimum education for a first-year teacher with certification is a pro-ration of the full-time salary which is $38,037 and increases in stepped increments based on education and years of experience. The school pays for a majority of the employee's medical premiums. Optional insurance plans are available at the employee's expense. There is also a pro-ration of the 50% tuition remission for your own qualified children to attend New Covenant Academy.
SPIRITUAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrate evidence of regeneration and dedication to the cause of Christ, and have an expressed desire (call) to work in a Christian School.
- Have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Have a Christian testimony reflected in a daily walk that allows being a true example to all students.
- Implement their jobs “as unto the Lord”: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not men.”
- Be active in a local body of believers and should be faithful in reading God’s Word and daily prayer.
- Agree fully and without reservation with the school’s Statement of Faith.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, possibly run, stretch, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must have the ability to demonstrate the proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation. Other physical activities may be required related to the physical ability to perform.

FACULTY CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
For core subjects, all faculty members must hold a certification to teach in the State of Missouri or in another state within the U.S., (or meet the requirements for a provisional certification). Additionally, they must have a four-year undergraduate degree.
Substitute Requirements
Substitutes must have a minimum of 60 college credit hours in order to qualify for substitute teaching at NCA.
Faculty Benefits
The following benefits are offered to full-time faculty at New Covenant Academy: 50% discount in tuition for your own child to attend NCA (pending they meet admissions requirements); all fees must be paid by the employee. Medical benefits are offered the employee with a majority of the premium paid for by New Covenant Academy. Employees may add dependents at their own expense. Additional dependent health insurance benefit is offered in the 3rd and following consecutive years of employment with NCA paying up to $175 per month for a dependent not on another insurance plan and up to a maximum of $87.50 a month for dependents that are covered by another health policy. Optional cafeteria plans are offered at the employee expense. A reduction in school lunch price is offered to the employee for their own meal service. Free admission to all home sports games. Part-time faculty may receive a pro-rated discount in tuition for their own child to attend NCA.
Staff Benefits (non-teaching)
The following benefits are offered to full-time staff 12 months a year (non-teaching) at New Covenant Academy: 50% discount in tuition for your own child to attend NCA (pending they meet admissions requirements); all fees must be paid by the employee. Medical benefits are offered the employee with a majority of the premium paid for by New Covenant Academy. Employees may add dependents at their own expense. Additional dependent health insurance benefit is offered in the 3rd and following consecutive years of employment with NCA paying up to $175 per month for a dependent not on another insurance plan and up to a maximum of $87.50 a month for dependents that are covered by another health policy. Optional cafeteria plans are offered at the employee expense. A reduction in school lunch price is offered to the employee for their own meal service. Free admission to all home sports games.
