While acting small by investing in you, your growth, your team, and giving you the autonomy to solve our clients’ problems, no matter where you are in the world.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Financial ManagementStrategic financial business partner to Client teams and Finance leadership helping to influence positive financial management and decision making supported by dataDevelopment of monthly forecasts and annual Budget planning for two business units, with an ownership over revenue and expense planning, with oversight from the DirectorPartners with cross functional leads to develop strategies that drive profitable growthMonitoring month-end close processes including but not limited to reviewing revenue recognition and journal entries, ensuring actuals are loaded into FP&A tool accurately, and bringing forth any issues to be resolved for the following monthDraft or oversee preparation of all financial reporting such as month end reports, variance analysis, and P&L commentary. Recommending areas to improve reporting, where neededUnderstand results and ability to respond to questions from Finance and Senior Leadership on key drivers impacting the P&LClient FinancePartner with the Sales, Client, Operations and Legal teams in new business efforts including pricing client proposals, assisting in responding to RFP/Is and the development of budgets to maintain healthy marginsPartner with Client leads, Legal and Finance leadership to review statements of work and master services agreements including analyzing and supporting the development of new pricing models or opportunities for increased revenueReview monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue versus the forecast to provide commentary and determine whether we met or exceeded financial goals, including the tracking of client margins and profitabilityPartnering with Client leads to maintain a strong knowledge of the client’s business models, contractual arrangements, health of the business, and growth opportunitiesLiaise with DEPT entities on intercompany transactions inclusive of reviewing and helping to set up intercompany contracts, pricing for cross sells and negotiation of ratesAnalyze, identify, and communicate areas of concern or suggested improvements within the Client Portfolio to both Finance and Client LeadersEvaluate fees for client staffing plans and suggest staffing and margin recommendations with the support of Finance leadershipEnsure agency performance is consistent with contract obligationsTeam ManagementOversee and develop growth plan for direct reports and cultivate a positive team cultureProvide ongoing constructive feedback, manage career pathing, and consistently hold staff accountable for performance, compliance and ethical business conductHelp attract new talent and work to build a team with diverse views and backgroundsPromote cross-collaboration with wider US FP&A team and sharing of best practicesOther ResponsibilitiesServe as the initial FP&A point of contact for client auditsLead development and delivery of regular and ad hoc reporting for client teams and senior leadership, as neededLead the development of process improvement initiatives with minimal oversight from Finance LeadershipEnsure adherence to reporting deadlines for both client and finance calendarsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred7-10+ years experience, with at least 6 years experience in an Agency. Experience working at a Media or Creative Agency is a plus.Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles and their practical application related to revenue accruals preferred (ASC 606, IFRS 15).Experience with Financial Systems such as Anaplan and NetsuiteExperience in setting and managing expectationsExperience training, developing and managing direct reportsExhibit judgment on when to elevate issues and when to resolve independentlyDemonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and be inclusive of ideasStrong analytical orientation. Skills in financial analysis, including review of financial statements and analysis of key business metricsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel skills and Google Product Suite software applicationsForward thinking – challenges the status quo and proactively and creatively identifies opportunities for improvementAbility to effectively work and communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersAble to effectively manage workload, prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and take “ownership-mentality” in work/clients/practices.WHAT DO WE OFFER?We are a collaborative, open-door, best-idea-wins environment that fosters personal and company growth and has fun doing it. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling.
