Creative Services Producer

MAJOR PURPOSE: Responsible for producing high caliber local advertising spots and promotional content for Nexstar’s San Diego duopoly, FOX 5 and KUSI.
JOB SUMMARY: FOX 5 San Diego and KUSI News are seeking a creative and innovative Creative Services Producer to execute high quality content for our advertising clients and news division, delivering the best production services in the market. The ideal candidate is an experienced producer with excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills. They must oversee production workflow from conception to delivery of all new local direct business projects for both stations as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Independently conceive, write, direct, produce, shoot, and edit high-concept commercial projects for station’s sales clients.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Collaborate with the Creative Services team on marketing efforts including news image, proof of brand spots, and lifestyle show promotion.
Maintain daily production schedules, organize assignments, deadlines, and priorities.
Communicate clearly with account executives and clients to set expectations and timelines.
Possess expert-level hands-on experience with camera, lighting equipment, Adobe CC Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, and related software.
Be fluent with Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning additional proprietary Nexstar software.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in TV or film industry with an understanding of the production process.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in marketing messaging and client management.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong skills in production workflows, creative writing, lighting, shooting, and editing commercial content.
Versatile team player capable of working collaboratively.
Self-directed, self-motivated, with a professional appearance.
Bachelor’s Degree in film production or equivalent experience.
Work samples demonstrating quality at major market or network level.
Four industry references and two personal references.
Compensation: $68,000 - $75,000 based on experience and skills.
