Ulla Johnson is seeking a Manager of Creative Studio to join our growing department that drives and delivers all brand visual output. This individual will play a key role in supporting the Sr. Director of Creative Studio in bringing the brand’s vision to life across all consumer touchpoints. As a member of the Creative Studio team, the Manager of Creative Studio will be deeply involved in a variety of projects—from day-to-day production to larger brand initiatives—while also helping to establish and maintain processes that support the team’s efficiency and growth. Manage shoot calendar in partnership with our Associate Director of Creative Production to ensure all assets are being captured in a timely manner for the business. Organize and maintain archive of all photo assets for the organization, continually improving file management processes for the business. Own asset distribution internally in coordination with our Producer to ensure that teams are receiving files in a timely fashion, and in line with negotiated usage for all UJ shoots. Director of Creative Studio with development of new art direction approach and style guide for accessories photography, and own go forward execution in Showroom seasonally. Director of Creative Studio with the creation of boards and decks for upcoming and in progress shoots, and special projects. Director of Creative Studio with selects and retouching processes for eCommerce and Campaign, in partnership with our Producer. Own the majority of internal eCommerce retouching needs, and manage overflow with external resources to ensure timely deliveries and consistent quality. Build out Retouching Guidelines for e-commerce and flat photography and onboard all freelance retouchers to follow these guidelines. Support Department with asset processing and cropping for final outputs (site, social, email, print). An understanding of the entire stills and video production process, from conception to post production ~ Self-starter, ability to act and follow through on projects independently ~ Creative thinker, unafraid to bring new ideas to the table ~ Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Lightroom, Capture One ~ Born and raised in Manhattan, the daughter of archaeologists, Ulla Johnson honed her signature style between the streets of New York and the far-flung destinations of their family travels. Her eponymous line, founded in 1998 just after her graduation from university, immediately caught the attention of the fashion press. Growing from a handful of directional boutiques and with an early endorsement from Barneys New York, Ulla Johnson’s collection has gained a dedicated following and the support of retailers across the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia. She has never wavered on her steadfast attention to the details of construction that have become her hallmark, basing each of her collections on a foundation of natural fibers, beautiful finishing, and ease of fit and form. Ulla lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three children.
