Summary
In this collaborative, entry-level role, you will learn important skills and gain professional experience by working on marketing campaigns and community engagement events with our team. Our ideal intern candidate understands digital marketing best practices, has graphic design abilities, is a strong writer, is technologically savvy, has social media experience, and has strong communication skills. Applicants should be current or recent marketing or communications students enrolled in a bachelor's degree program.
Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing Interns support The Bank of Elk River Marketing and Communications team in daily activities. Examples of duties and responsibilities include:
Assist with social media, email, and in-app marketing campaigns Assist with website updates, SEO, and local search analysis Design and produce marketing materials (print, digital, video) Produce and proofread content Collect and report data from marketing campaigns Contribute to paid ad strategies and tactics Track keyword rankings Attend vendor meetings Manage and update databases Provide support for in-person and virtual events Complete other administrative tasks as needed What Does a Marketing Intern Do?
A Marketing Intern assists with all stages of marketing campaign development and execution. They can work on a wide variety of projects, including web development, social media, search engine optimization, email marketing campaigns, community engagement events, and data analysis.
Skills and Qualifications
A successful Marketing Intern needs various skills and qualifications to perform the required duties of their role. Essential skills for this position include the following:
Current or recent enrollment in a bachelor's degree program Experience using Adobe Suite products, Canva, and other content creation tools Strong verbal and written communication skills Adept at learning new software and managing across multiple platforms Ability to quickly learn and process information Organization and time management skills Strong desire to learn, along with a professional drive Solid understanding of different marketing techniques Familiarity with CRM tools, online analytics, and Google AdWords Passion for the digital marketing industry and its best practices Preferred Qualifications
