About us: SCS Interiors cuts, sews, and manufactures a wide variety of upholstery items for clients within the aerospace, transportation, commercial, and marine industries. We have two facilities (climate controlled) here in the Duluth Airpark. Our services and products are high quality, creative, cost-effective, and unique for each customer.

Our Designers create unique and custom patterns in coordination with our customers' ideas. This person will meet virtually or in person with prospective clients for custom prototyping projects and include an internal cross-functional team to get to the finish line. Samples will be made from PDF renderings to customer specs. Most of the products are creative one-off designs, that still need to be produced with repeatability in mind. You may also provide support to machine operators, sewers, or install to ensure the desired concept becomes reality.
We have a wide array of tools to create interesting designs with, such as our CNC cutting tables, onsite custom perforation, ZSK quilting machine, embossing machine, 3D printing, and a Zund laser cutting table.
Programs we use frequently: AutoCAD, EPCWin, Mastertrim & NX. We work with a lot of .dxf, .dgs, .dsr, .z01 and .zepl files
Knowledge of sewing, upholstery, embroidery, and textiles is strongly preferred, but not required. Product creation could be furniture cushions, seat upholstery, flooring kits, or other custom automotive/aerospace/marine cabin upholstered interior parts.

2 Year Degree in CAD, CAM, Product Design or related field preferredOR 5 years of experience CAD based Product DesignPrior manufacturing experience requiredStrong sewing knowledge preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, ERP)Ability to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 25lbsBenefits:
