Position Type: Full-time, Contract
Period of Performance:
- Base Period: Contract Award – 31 December 2025
- Option Periods: Up to three additional years (2026-2028)
- Craft Compelling Narratives: Develop clear, persuasive messaging tailored for various audiences.
- Presentation Development: Design and create engaging materials for NATO leadership and stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with SMEs, PR professionals, designers, and videographers to ensure cohesive messaging.
- Brand Consistency: Align all communications with NATO’s strategic goals.
- Crisis Communication: Assist in developing response strategies for sensitive situations.
- Event Support: Manage communications for key events and initiatives.
- Media Relations: Develop press releases, coordinate media coverage, and handle interviews.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track communication effectiveness and provide data-driven insights.
- Education: Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in marketing, communications, or public affairs.
- Minimum 3 years of professional storytelling and audience engagement.
- Minimum 2 years in strategic communications and campaign development.
- Minimum 2 years working with cross-functional teams (e.g., PR, graphic design, video production).
- Experience in event coordination and media relations.
- Knowledge of NATO structures and procedures is preferred.
- Experience in a military or defense environment is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
- Experience with marketing and communication software, project management tools, and reporting metrics.
- Video production and editing skills are advantageous.
- Security & Travel Requirements:
- Active NATO or National SECRET (or higher) security clearance required.
- Must hold a valid NATO Nation passport with no travel restrictions.
- Proficiency in English at STANAG 6001 Level 3333 (or equivalent).
- Work on a high-profile NATO initiative with strategic impact.
