We need the best leaders in retail. Our Enterprise Leadership Development team develops confident, competent leaders who can effectively take care of their associates. We have a strong team of instructional designers focused on developing our leaders, and we’re looking to expand this team. This Instructional Designer will design, develop, and implement cutting-edge, experiential leadership development programs that build enterprise leadership capabilities throughout the leadership lifecycle. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team that creates learning experiences to build knowledge and change leadership thinking. Here’s what we’re looking for: Strong communication skills, comfortable with technology (WebEx, Microsoft Teams, etc.) Passionate about leadership development with a background in instructional design, leadership, talent development, or psychology Experience with innovative approaches to develop leaders Experience with vertical development, coaching, or leading a team Familiarity with Agile Learning Development or the Successive Approximation Model (SAM) Self-driven, resourceful, and excellent at project management Comfortable taking risks, communicating new ideas, and partnering as a trusted consultant Key Responsibilities 60% Create learning objectives, design documents, storyboards, and other deliverables. Develop solutions using project-based templates. Test and debug for quality assurance. Ensure solutions meet desired outcomes. 10% Partner with Learning Strategy Senior Managers on needs analysis and instructional strategy 10% Use standard eLearning tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) 10% Communicate task and project status proactively to clients and management 10% Assist in interviewing, selecting, and onboarding contractors and associates Reporting and Work Environment Reports to: Manager of Learning No direct reports Travel and Physical Requirements Overnight travel less than 10% Sitting most of the time, occasional movement or lifting light articles Working Conditions Indoor, comfortable environment; infrequent unpleasant conditions Minimum Qualifications Must be 18+ and permitted to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Instructional Design, Technology, HR, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience in education or learning, especially in retail Minimum Education High school diploma or GED Minimum Work Experience 3 years Core Competencies Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theories Proficiency with Microsoft Office and eLearning tools Basic project management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
