About the Role
DigiStream Investigations, a fast-growing private investigations company, seeks a full-time Social Media Investigator to join our Arizona team. The investigator will conduct desktop-based social media and background research related to workers’ compensation fraud, focusing on internet and social media information-finding abilities.
Compensation and Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $18.00
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
- Location: Mesa, Arizona (In Office)

Job Summary
The Research Analyst will perform background and social media research to support investigations into insurance and other fraud types. Responsibilities include preparing reports, managing vendor services, updating clients on red flags, and delivering findings efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Complete detailed reports within 3 business days of the request.
- Produce approximately 1.5 social media reports per workday.
- Track and bill services accurately.
- Manage deadlines and multitask effectively.
- Navigate ambiguity and develop understanding of workers' compensation, or willingness to learn.
- Analyze social media profiles and online data for investigation purposes.
- Follow instructions accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Handle multiple reports simultaneously while ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, History, Political Science, or related field.
- Comfort with navigating ambiguity and understanding workers' compensation system or willingness to learn.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of online information and apply findings to investigations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Typing speed of 40+ words per minute with accuracy.
- Efficient use of work time, prioritization, and resource management.
- Proficiency in using social networking sites, search engines, and investigative platforms.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing information needs and presentation methods.
