The Digital Media Coordinator is vital in supporting the successful performance of Lakewood Church’s multiple Digital Media channels. This role focuses on the day-to-day operations of the channels via YouTube and Sardius, including content scheduling, uploading, optimization, and community management. The coordinator will work closely with the digital media team to implement the channel strategy and ensure content is delivered effectively to the target audience, including supporting live stream efforts.
This position reports directly to the Digital Media Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Content Scheduling and Management
- Schedule and upload videos according to the content calendar and strategy, including live stream recordings and promotional content.
- Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails for maximum visibility and engagement.
- Maintain an organized archive of video content, including live stream archives, for easy access and reference.
- Live Stream Support
- Assist in preparing live stream content by scheduling posts and ensuring all areas are optimized.
- Monitor live stream chat and comments, escalating any issues to the Digital Media Manager or technical team.
- Update live stream descriptions and metadata as needed during the broadcast.
- Community Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages on all channels, fostering a positive and engaging community environment.
- Create and manage polls, Q&As, and other interactive content to encourage audience participation.
- Analytics and Reporting
- Track and analyze channel performance metrics, including live stream viewership and engagement data, providing regular reports to the Digital Media Manager.
- Assist in identifying trends and insights to inform content strategy and optimization efforts.
- Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the Digital Media Manager as needed.
- Assist in the research and coordination of special projects and initiatives.
- Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Demonstrable Christ-like character.
- Proficiency in using streaming platforms and content management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of YouTube's algorithm and best practices for optimizing content visibility and engagement.
- Understanding of live stream production and engagement strategies.
- Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics) to track performance and generate insights.
- Familiarity with community management strategies and tools for fostering positive engagement on social platforms.
- Creative mindset with an eye for compelling video titles, thumbnails, and descriptions that drive viewer engagement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for responding to community interactions and creating engaging content.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues related to live streams and video uploads.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work Sunday through Thursday, in addition to signature events and holidays.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2+ years of demonstrable experience in digital content management, scheduling, and optimization on Digital media platforms such as YouTube and Sardius.
- Previous experience with live stream management and support.
- Experience using analytics tools to track performance and generate insights (e.g., YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics).
