Position Overview: The Director of Marketing and Admissions manages community inquiry and admission processes, providing prospective customers with information through tours, visits, assessments, conversations, and follow-up. The DOMA coordinates and implements effective sales and marketing strategies with the team. Key Responsibilities: Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and referral sources. Conduct community tours. Manage the admission process, maintaining updated bed availability and community services information. Handle inquiries professionally and ensure timely follow-up. Manage occupancy levels and enhance census and premium mix. Make outreach calls to medical, insurance, legal, financial professionals, senior organizations, hospital discharge planners, and community contacts. Develop and maintain relationships to inform referral sources about bed availability and new services. Maintain a current database of referral sources. Utilize the company's sales practices and tracking tools. Inform relevant departments of upcoming changes via daily admission meetings. Apply bed management principles. Work closely with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and Business Office Manager (BOM) to make appropriate admission decisions. Coordinate the development and execution of sales and marketing plans, chair marketing team meetings, and monitor budgets and results. Stay informed about state and federal regulations and reimbursement guidelines (Medicare and Medicaid). Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Communications preferred. At least two years of experience in sales, marketing, or admissions coordination; experience in healthcare community relations is a plus.
