THE ROLE Long Beach Amphitheater is seeking a Marketing Manager responsible for creating, directing, and implementing sponsorship and marketing programs for the facility. The role requires a high degree of organization, writing skills, communication skills, management experience, and the ability to adapt quickly and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. This position aims to enhance awareness about ASM Global and its accomplishments within the facility management industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Directs the public relations image of the facility. Establishes and maintains relationships with media, industry influencers, and key community and strategic partners. Acts as facility spokesperson and liaison with the general public. Supervises Marketing, Public Relations, and Group Sales staff, carrying out responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global’s policies and applicable laws. Develops and implements advertising and publicity campaigns to create awareness of the facility. Creates and supervises marketing plans for events, including group sales, public relations, media placement, direct mail, and promotional development. Operates the department with a commitment to maximum exposure for the facility and its events through effective means. Develops marketing material and procedures for the department to function effectively as an in-house agency. Aggressively seeks new contacts and maintains relationships with media representatives. Remains current on national trends in the industry and local market changes. Maintains and increases facility signage revenues. Explores new avenues of revenue for the facility. Develops and maintains a facility website. Communicates with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns and prepares copy for print/radio/TV spots. Prepares and disseminates company event and press releases. Coordinates promotions and special events with event promoters and facility personnel. Prepares copy and layout for company newsletters. Assists with the management, development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials. Works with Sales staff in planning and executing events. Coordinates promotional and marketing efforts with the facility and the JTB. Maintains high standards, a positive attitude, and a professional appearance. Works within the guidelines set forth in SMG's Management Credo. Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities for increased sales. Provides post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs. Studies company happenings and patterns of business. Keeps up on trade events and reads industry publications. Knowledge of media, best practices, and expectations. Research and design management team environment skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently. Generates new ideas and directions for company information. Gathers facility information and contact lists. Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college in Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism preferred. News/journalistic background or PR background. Excellent writing abilities. Able to communicate messages quickly and accurately. Managerial background required with at least five years of experience. Previous experience/internship in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related industry experience required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to type 40 wpm. Basic understanding of demographics and media buying. Requires a flexible schedule to cover events. Independent thought skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently. Knowledge of database software, spreadsheets, graphics, and word processing software. Salary Range:
