Pershing X will deliver the industry’s leading end-to-end advisory platform, helping financial service firms solve the challenge of managing multiple and disconnected technology tools and data sets for their advisors and fueling our clients’ business growth. We are a collaborative and fast-growing team working on exciting and innovative digital product offerings.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:The candidate should be an experienced professional with a full understanding of their area of specialization.This role requires experience providing guidance and technical expertise for complex user experience activities, including user research and testing, interactive design, and visual design.Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams, as well as new and modified user personas.Participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules.Synthesize situations and information across multiple factors while applying company policies and procedures in resolving a variety of issues.Build good relationships with immediate team and cross-functional teams, knowing key stakeholders and peers.Help organize team processes, mentor, and train more junior designers.Communicate effectively, checking for understanding and asking questions to understand others’ points of view.Lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to increase user effectiveness.Interpret user feedback and insights to improve the user experience.Review usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations.Provide UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process utilizing multiple sources of information.Independently perform and lead the creation and updating of user interface and visual design guidelines and standards.Advocate for user experience across the firm and facilitate training for groups outside the UX team.Ensure that the developed/revised product achieves the user's specified goals by establishing user-centered analysis, design, best practices, and standards.Contribute to the achievement of area objectives while being highly independent.To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.Our ambition is to build the best global team – one that is representative and inclusive of the diverse talent, clients, and communities we work with and serve – and to empower our team to do their best work.
