Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
- 4 years of experience working in content programming, content strategy, editorial, merchandising, growth marketing, e-commerce, digital production, or partnerships in Media and Entertainment.
- Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in growth, product, brand, social, or partner marketing or research.
- Experience working with behavioral marketing data.
- Experience with marketing and sales operations, financial analytics, or related analytical fields.
- Experience with FAST programming.
About The Job
Google TV is a smart TV platform designed to help users browse, discover, and watch movies and TV. The mission of the Content Programming team is to create engaging experiences that help users discover new content, including human curation of movies and TV shows to feature weekly, complementing algorithmic recommendations.
As Content Programming Manager, you will execute the team’s content strategy, manage campaigns for key verticals/moments in the US and globally, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance content discovery and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Google TV content programming and create content to show to the Google TV audience at the right moment, including live content, SVOD, AVOD, and FAST content.
- Understand the Google TV audience and develop programs that help them discover new content in engaging ways.
- Generate new editorial ideas, create content collections, write copy, develop artwork, and decide placement for campaigns. Collaborate with Product, UX, Go to Market, Analytics, and Business Development teams.
- Track and analyze campaign performance, develop user insights, and propose improvements for the discovery experience on Google TV.
