KIPP Delta is part of the nation-wide KIPP non-profit network of 242 college-preparatory, public charter schools educating early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students. We currently serve over 1,200 students in Helena and Blytheville, AR in the 2022-2023 school year.
Job Description
Your responsibilities as a Lead Teacher

As a KIPP Delta Teacher, your core responsibilities include:
Curriculum Development and InstructionAdapt and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculumDevelop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics and assessmentsUse data to inform instructional decisionsProvide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs
Help Build a Positive School and Classroom CultureEmbody and maintain school's values, policies and cultureDevelop positive relationships with students, families, teachers and staffEstablish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progressShow up for critical school events, including: staff meetings, open houses, parent teacher conferences and more
Demonstrate a Growth MindsetPursue challenging professional goals each yearGive and receive positive and constructive feedback with your colleaguesParticipate in school-wide and individual professional development
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Supporting student recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities as neededWrite letters of recommendation for students as needed
Qualifications
The following are required of all KIPP Delta teachers:Bachelor's degreeValid Arkansas teaching license or willingness to pursue state certification, if neededMeet Arkansas Qualified Teacher (AQT) status by demonstrated content knowledge in the Core Academic subject area being taught. Please see the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) for more information: http://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/divisions/educator%20effectiveness/education-workforce-resources-data/arkansas-qualified-teacher-aqt.Passing scores on the PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II exams in the content area hired for or commitment to completing both tests within two months of hiring datePass criminal background checkDemonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap
