Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced
Software Architect IV
to lead the modernization of legacy TIBCO-based systems to a modern, scalable microservices architecture using
Java Spring Boot
and
AWS
technologies. You will join a critical team focused on managing large-scale outages and disaster scenarios - processing millions of notifications within hours during major events like hurricanes.
This role is perfect for someone with hands-on experience architecting
high-throughput ,
event-driven ,
middleware
systems, with strong familiarity across
Java microservices ,
AWS , and
data pipelines .
Core Responsibilities:
Lead architectural strategy and hands-on migration of TIBCO-based systems to Java Spring Boot microservices. Analyze existing workflows, integrations, and services for efficient redesign and migration. Design scalable, secure, and high-availability backend systems. Drive development best practices, performance tuning, and high-reliability standards. Mentor development teams and perform architectural code reviews. Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps to define CI/CD pipelines and deployment patterns. Oversee development of middleware APIs and ensure seamless post-migration functionality.
Required Experience:
10+ years in enterprise Java development, with emphasis on architectural leadership. Strong expertise in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture. Experience migrating from TIBCO (BusinessWorks, EMS) or similar middleware platforms. Deep understanding of high-throughput systems and event/message-driven designs. Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers. Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases, API gateways, and cloud-native development.

Proven leadership in cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Analytical, performance- and optimization-focused mindset.
